The Growth of Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi is a city of contrasts. From the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque to the towering skyscrapers along the Corniche, this city has a lot to offer any visitor, whether it’s for work or pleasure.

The focus in this blog is the growing number of luxury hotels in the Emirate.

More and more people are looking for guaranteed sunshine when they go on holiday and although in
Summer, temperatures can get up to 50C, during the Spring, Autumn and Winter months, the temperature is a much more manageable 20-35C and the city is cashing in on the need for some sun.

Brits have found a haven in Dubai with beach hotels and luxurious resorts in some of the Emirates’ incredible areas of Jebel Ali and Jumeirah.

At the same time, the Middle East is a fast growing area and big for business. Many companies are investing heavily in the Emirates including opening offices there.

Down the road in Abu Dhabi, however, the city is growing and developing with a mega plan for 2030 in place. Made up of a series of islands, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates is developing stunning resorts and beaches, a growing modern transport system and a modern airport terminal to cater for the influx of visitors expected.

The Four Seasons brand has recently announced a new property the Four Seasons Hotel at Al Maryah Island will be the first in the United Arab Emirates. Already underway, construction is to be completed by 2014 and will include 190 deluxe rooms, 125 apartments, dramatic rooftop pool and spa.
