Enjoy the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix

With the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix just a few months away, if you are hoping to head out for a bit of sunshine, then now is the time to book. These tickets are going to get snapped up very quickly so you should start looking at organizing your trip.

Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates has been hosting the F1 Grand Prix each November since 2009 and is one of the city’s sporting highlights of the year. Drivers maneuver around this five and a half kilometer track for 55 laps at speeds of
around 150mph. Five main spectator stands make up this circuit and each offers a different view of the race. The main grandstand, located on the starting grid offers the excitement of the start and of course the finish as well as the pit lane and the mesmerizing work that each team does. The north grandstand offers incredible views of the tightest hairpin on the circuit before the drivers hit the throttle full on.

The west grandstand sells out very quickly as it not only offers views of the long straight but also straight down the finishing straight and proves a very exciting place to be. The Marina grandstand or the support pit stand as it is often known offers excellent views across to the Viceroy Hotel and the marina. Likewise, the South stand also offers excellent views of the marina and with the sun behind you for most of the day, photo opportunities here are outstanding. Screens are situated throughout the circuit so you can keep an eye on what else is going on at the start and finish line but it’s really a matter of preference of where you sit.

Why not upgrade your ticket and opt for a more lavish weekend with a club ticket or Grandstand Suite, offering the air conditioned units, food and beverages as well as reserved seating on an outside balcony. Be sure to make full use of your ticket on each day by going to the evening concerts. Previous stars such as Britney Spears and Aerosmith have been the top acts during the evenings and best of all, entry to the concerts are included in the cost of your F1 ticket.

A number of airlines offer flights to Abu Dhabi including Etihad Airways (main sponsor of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix), British Airways and Lufthansa.
